Howe Elementary School

Nestled in the Sunset Hills neighborhood of Mt, Lebanon, Julia Ward Howe Elementary School was built in 1928. Our school is named for the children and women's rights advocate who wrote the lyrics to "The Battle Hymn of the Republic."

Currently, we serve 378 students in grades K-5 with three sections per grade level. Our professional faculty and staff are committed to providing a nurturing learning environment that fosters academic excellence and overall student well-being.

A tradition of family oriented events is important to the Howe community. Last fall we hosted our 43rd annual Sunny Funny Fair! The Howe Read-a-thon, Family Reading Night, and "Howe's Got Talent" are just a few of the other special events that are coordinated and supported by our wonderful PTA and parent volunteers.

You are invited to explore this website to learn more about our school and community.
