A Message from Our Principal
Dear Parents, Guardians, Families, and Visitors,
Welcome to a new school year at Howe Elementary! My name is Matthew Rizzutto, and I am proud to be entering another exciting year as principal of this incredible school community. As we begin the 2025–2026 school year, I want to extend a warm welcome to all of our returning families and offer a heartfelt greeting to those who are new to our school.
At Howe Elementary, and throughout Mt. Lebanon School District, we remain committed to our mission of “providing the best education possible for each and every student.” This year, we will continue to prioritize strong academic instruction, social-emotional development, and the safety and well-being of every child.
One of my personal goals remains building a strong, supportive partnership between school and home. By working together, we can ensure your child’s educational experience is positive, enriching, and meaningful. I truly value open communication and collaboration—please know that my door is always open to your questions, concerns, and feedback.
I am deeply passionate about education and firmly believe that school should be a safe, inclusive, joyful place for all students to grow as learners and individuals. At Howe, we aim to create a nurturing environment where every student feels valued, inspired, and confident in their abilities.
We are excited to welcome students back to our classrooms, hallways, and playgrounds, where they’ll reconnect with friends, build new relationships, and learn alongside a dedicated and talented staff. On behalf of the entire Howe Elementary team, thank you for your continued trust and support.
Here’s to a great school year ahead!
Warm regards,
Matthew Rizzutto
Principal, Howe Elementary School
