Scholastic Book Fair - November 13-14, 2025

Dear families,

Get ready—the Scholastic Book Fair is coming to our school!

The easiest way to let your child shop the Fair independently is by creating an eWallet. It’s easy to set up and easy for others to add funds. You’ll need to set up a new eWallet for each fair, but can transfer unused funds from previous fairs. We also take cash, check, and credit card (and Apple Pay!).

Create an eWallet, and you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to Share the Fair - the giving program that supports students at our school who need help buying books. Consider participating so that no child leaves the Fair empty-handed!

Here’s everything else you need to know about the Book Fair:

Dates: November 13 - November 14, 2025

Location: Howe Gym; 400 Broadmoor Ave

Student Shopping Schedule: Students will shop with their classes during the school day on Thursday.

Family Shopping Schedule: 4:15 PM - 8:00 PM Thursday & 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM Friday

More than ever, we need to get students reading. Studies prove* that children with more books at home have higher-level reading skills, and attain more years of education overall. Every purchase earns Howe Scholastic Dollars which are then used to fill teacher classrooms, fund Read-A-Thon Gift Certificates, and more!

Sunny Funny Fair

The Sunny Funny Fair is our biggest FUNdraising event of the year! The grounds around Howe are transformed into a carnival, with over 40 games, activities, craft stations, cake walk. Kids play games to earn points that can be cashed in for prizes, and food is available for purchase. This event is open to the entire family and surrounding community.

Yearbook

Howe Elementary School is thrilled to partner with Treering again, for our 2024-2025 school yearbook. Treering is a reputable company that provides easy-to-use photo upload and mobile app features to ensure each yearbook captures a comprehensive collection of memories of the school year and of each individual student.

Our yearbook cost for this year will be $17.94. You can create a free account, take a look at the website, and easily purchase your copy.

HELLO! Howe Families,

An enormous aspect of our yearbook each year consists of photos submitted by you! Without your photo contributions throughout the year our yearbook wouldn’t be possible.

You can submit your photos all year round by uploading them to the yearbook website at https://web.treering.com/school/249265/2024/school-content/school-photos. You can also send them via email to yearbook@howepta.org.

Spirit Center is a PTA sponsored store run by Howe 5th graders. Sales occur twice monthly during lunch recess.

Prices range from $0.25 to $3.

CASH ONLY ACCEPTED

Items this year include fun erasers, pencils, pens, squish balls, bookmarks, and more!

Spirit Center begins in the winter.

5th grade Shirts

Free for each student provided by the 5th grade committee. Additional shirts are available for $10 each.

Camp Guyasuta Field Trip (Sept)

Ropes, zip lines and fun outdoor activities.

Meadowcroft (Fall and Spring)

Historic Village with plenty of sites to explore.

Memory Book

Provided to each 5th grader by the committee.

End of the Year Pool Party

Swimming and fun hosted by the 5th grade committee.
